Our lives are going someplace and it’s a good thing to keep our eyes on the destination so we stay on track. Yogi Berra once said, “You got to be careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there.”

Be reminded that “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him.” Remember that this is what He had declared and now reckons us to be, in His Son, holy and blameless.

Before the creation of the world, God the Father, the Son and Spirit chose in love to create, give free choice and make a way to receive His identity. The position of being chosen is available to all. How we respond to the invitation determines our identity. In Christ our identity is blameless.

Don’t get caught up into the motions of being religious. Yes, it is important to study God’s Word, fellowship with other believers, pray, etc., but that is not so you can check a box. But rather to become like Christ.

Before Christ you were zealously following after the things of this world, but now, Christ has gloriously saved you by His grace and your earnestness can be transferred to the things of God.
